Herron’s Spectrum Group Exhibits at the Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration

Herron School of Art and Design is proud to announce that our diversity-based student group Spectrum will participate in the 38th annual Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration. This is Spectrum's fifth consecutive exhibition as part of IBE's Cultural Arts Pavilion. Herron students and alumni will exhibit alongside institutions such as the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, Indianapolis Art Center, and others.

Spectrum is a student artists' group offering creative and academic support for Herron's diverse student population. Striving to promote multiculturalism and increase awareness of diversity in the arts, Spectrum seeks out unique exhibition opportunities as well as providing workshops, lectures, and panel discussions.

The exhibit will run from Friday, July 18 through Sunday, July 20 in the Indianapolis Convention Center (Wabash Corridor, rooms 1-3). For specific times visit www.ibesummercelebration.com.

For more information regarding Spectrum, please contact Vance Farrow, Faculty Advisor (vfarrow@iupui.edu, 317-278-9496). To financially support this initiative, please contact Kim Hodges, Director of Development (kshodges@iupui.edu, 317-278-9472).
