Obama Environmental Advisors to Speak at IUPUI, April 23

Environmental advisors to U.S. Senator Barack Obama will participate in an environmental and energy policy roundtable on Wednesday (April 23) at IUPUI.

In recognition of Earth Day, being celebrated Tuesday, April 22, the Environmental Law Society of the IU School of Law-Indianapolis will present Obama advisors in an open discussion of environmental challenges facing the United States from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 23, 2008, in Room 307 of the IUPUI Campus Center, 420 University Blvd.

Obama advisors Cameron Davis and Jack Darin will talk about Obama's plan "to create green jobs, ensure energy security and fight for clean air and water," according to a campaign media advisory. Davis, president and CEO of the Alliance for the Great Lakes, is a nationally recognized expert on water issues. Darin has worked with a number of groups seeking to impact environmental policy.

IU School of Law-Indianapolis Professor Eric Dannenmaier, the Environmental Law Society faculty advisor, may also speak during the roundtable event. Dannemaier is an expert on environmental law and policy and is widely published on issues such as climate change, and trade and the environment.
