Nonprofit Solutions Annual Conference
Nonprofit Solutions Initiative, a networking resource for the Central Indiana nonprofit community, will hold its annual conference on April 16th, 2008, at IUPUI's new Campus Center. This year Nonprofit Solutions, an initiative of the IUPUI Solutions Center, is pleased to welcome Mayor Greg Ballard as a special guest at the afternoon reception. "Mayor Ballard will be there to meet with nonprofit leaders and will provide remarks on the importance of the nonprofit community to the vitality of Indianapolis," said Ms. Keisha Nickolson, Nonprofit Solutions Program Manager.
Attendees also will hear from Dr. Kirsten Gronbjerg, Professor, Indiana University, and Marissa Manlove, President, Indiana Grantmakers Alliance, who will discuss the capacity building and technical assistance challenges identified in a recent Center on Philanthropy report, "Nonprofit Capacity Assessment, Indiana Charities, 2007," during the 2008 Conference luncheon. "Participants will have the opportunity to attend five workshop sessions with topics ranging from organizational branding, fundraising, and donor relations to financial management, 403(b) regulations, and board retention strategies." said Ms. Keisha Nickolson, "We are excited to create a conference with the nonprofit leader in mind - one that focuses on critical conversations and solutions that will assist in building a nonprofits capacity and organizational effectiveness."
