IndyGo’s Red Line Bus Route Links IUPUI and Downtown Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS - IndyGo CEO and President Gilbert Holmes and IUPUI Chancellor Charles R. Bantz will ride IndyGo's Red Line Circulator Monday, launching a new route that links IUPUI with downtown Indianapolis.
The Red Line Circulator is free, with two shuttles operating on a 15 minute frequency from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Red Line will not operate on Sunday.
On campus, there will be designated stops at University Place Conference Center, IU Hospital, University Library, Cavanaugh Hall, IU Natatorium, NIFS, Herron School of Art and Design, IU School of Law- Indianapolis. Downtown stops are Canal Walk, Indianapolis City Market, Wholesale District, Indiana Government Center, and Indiana History Center.
The Red Line Circulator is a three year federally funded demonstration service program designed to link the IUPUI with downtown Indianapolis and increase interest and ridership for the IndyGo system. The two shuttles will use alternative fuel, bio-diesel or electric hybrid.
