Liberal Arts Dean Announces Plan to Return to Faculty Role

Aug. 16, 2007 — Dean of the IU School of Liberal Arts, Robert W. White, on Wednesday (August 15, 2007) announced that he will step down from the school's deanship effective June 30, 2008. He will resume his faculty role as professor of sociology with the school, located on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus.   Full Story

IU East Interim Chancellor Named Today

June 8, 2007 — RICHMOND, Ind. -- Indiana University President Adam W. Herbert today announced the appointment of an interim successor for Indiana University East Chancellor David Fulton, who is retiring June 30. Herbert said that pending approval by the IU Board of Trustees during its June 22 meeting, Nasser H. Paydar, vice chancellor and dean of Indiana University Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC), will take over management of IU East as interim chancellor. Jay Howard, professor of sociology and head of the IUPUC Division of Liberal Arts, will become interim vice chancellor of IUPUC.   Full Story
