Areas of Expertise: alternative dispute resolution, intergovernmental relations, urban affairs, mediation, intergovernmental conflict, local government finance.

Krauss served as Deputy Mayor of Indianapolis (1982-1991) and was involved in much of the urban renaissance of Indianapolis since 1971. Krauss teaches public policy mediation to law students, governmental attorneys, judges and lawyers. He is a practicing mediator.

He directs an IU center focusing on public policy choices for Indiana and communities in general.
