2008 — Eugene R. Tempel, executive director of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, will leave that position August 31, 2008 to become president of the Indiana University Foundation, Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie announced today.

2008 — Nonprofit Solutions Initiative, a networking resource for the Central Indiana nonprofit community, will hold its annual conference on April 16th, 2008, at IUPUI's new Campus Center. This year Nonprofit Solutions, an initiative of the IUPUI Solutions Center, is pleased to welcome Mayor Greg Ballard as a special guest at the afternoon reception. "Mayor Ballard will be there to meet with nonprofit leaders and will provide remarks on the importance of the nonprofit community to the vitality of Indianapolis," said Ms. Keisha Nickolson, Nonprofit Solutions Program Manager.

2008 — Dr. Paul G. Schervish, a nationally recognized expert on wealth, spirituality and giving, will be the speaker for the Fifth Annual Thomas H. Lake Lecture in Indianapolis April 10th and 11th. The program is presented by the Lake Institute on Faith & Giving at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.

2008 — In a speech today at the Economic Club of Indiana, United Way of America President Brian Gallagher will announce that United Way of America and the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, located on the campus of IUPUI, will develop a new partnership made possible by a $6 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to United Way.
