2007 — The New York Times introduced today a new online initiative that pairs Times content with faculty course material for both credit-bearing and continuing education courses. April 18,
2007 — A video produced by IUPUI staff members John Herrin, Angie Antonopoulos, and Michael Jasiak has won praise from the Society for Technical Communication (STC) in its International Technical Publications, Art, and Online Communication Competition. The video, Indiana University Global Research Network Operations Center, received an Excellence Award in the category of Online Communication: Technical Marketing, competing against the very best entries from industries worldwide. The video previously received a Distinguished Award in the STC Chicago Chapter competition.

Fang is an expert in biomedical visualization and imaging, as well as the use of 3D visualization and computer graphics in the life sciences. His research goal is to develop innovative 3D techniques in order to efficiently process and analyze biomedical data that is collected from clinical and biological structures. By combining the data with computer models, Fang's research enhances medical diagnosis and treatment.
